In March 2026, Westwell achieved normal autonomous operations under Zero-GNSS conditions across its fleet at CSP Abu Dhabi Terminal (CSP ADT) at Khalifa Port, marking a further step in the development of smart autonomous container handling in the region. The milestone builds on Westwell’s automation program operations at CSP ADT, with the fleet consisting of 12 Q-Trucks and six Q-Chassis (IGV). The GNSS-independent operation combines LiDAR, odometry, and inertial measurement unit (IMU) data to maintain vehicle localization and navigation without GNSS input, showcasing CSP ADT’s progression towards more intelligent autonomous container handling at Khalifa Port.
